Starter gear allows you to start off with the ability to be competitive. You should never feel useless when you start, but there are still interesting upgrades to chase.

So what's different ?
🤝 Community First
We have connected your discord account to your in-game account. The General Chat in-game is connected with the “slash-1” chat in the discord, allowing constant community interaction. This feature also gives us strong moderation tools to ensure the community stays healthy both in-game and out.
🛡️ Gearing
Gold & honor
You get gold and honor from Warsong Gulch and can buy gear with them. Honor gear is usually BiS; gold gear is easier to grab and more situational.
You can also give gold to friends and rerolls so they can skip part of the initial grind.
Custom items
Some items have been tweaked, for example swapping Spirit for Hit, Crit, or Haste. Everyone starts with a lower version of the Arena Grand Master, which can be upgraded up to the normal +12 Stamina version.
🔮 New suffixes
More options were added to the random-suffix items from dungeon satchels. The in-game NPC lets you pick one for a few silvers.
💎 Gems
Gems replace libram arcanums so we can apply the bonus only to head and legs. The gold gems give +8 stats; the best ones cost honor and give +12.
🔥 Resistance change
Resistances never fully ignore a spell. They reduce the damage and/or duration instead.
We were carefull not too allow to stack too much resistance in a single element to avoid counter builds

🏹 PvP
Bots
Bots let you farm gear even when the population is low. They leave once a real player joins.
Arena
You can queue for arena while you are in Warsong Gulch and wait for people who want to play.
Warsong Queue Balance
The queue tries to keep teams balanced and may split big groups when there are not enough players to face them. There is no class-stacking limit yet, but we plan to add a maximum of two of each class per team.
Warsong is cross-faction, so you can play Horde or Alliance regardless of your starting faction. We still try to avoid switching people when possible.
